Can we see light in the ultra-high-energy sky?

Date:

Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics, Kolkata is an Institute of Basic Research and Training in Physical and Biological Sciences under the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India. I was invited to present a seminar hosted by the High Energy Nuclear & Particle Physics Division (Group B) at the institute. My talk was summarizing our current photo-graph of the universe in the ultra-high-energy band, the different strong constraints on the diffuse photon flux set by the Pierre Auger Observatory, and on what can we expect in the near future, with upgraded detectors and data analysis techniques.
